Grant, Granted. May 21, 2018.

Minus 100, LLC was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy for negotiation of a $225,000 Grant Award.  The objective of the Project entitled “U.S. Coal to Conductive Inks” is to develop conductive ink products as a replacement for expensive silver-based inks for the automotive, aerospace, and electronics industries.  Phase I of the 9-month research project is scheduled to start July 2018. An important component of the project is the development of an economical and scalable manufacturing process for the production of graphite/graphene based conductive inks.  It is anticipated that the same technology will be transferable to the production of conductive paints/coatings that is expected to grow to more than $18 billion by 2021 at compounded annual growth rate of 8%.
